A first cake order for Old Town Cooks! A red velvet cake was requested so that's what I did, although I did stray a litle from the traditional recipe to make it a bit different.
I decided to put a beetroot and chocolate cream in between each layer of the cake just as an added little surprise.
A little bit of tempered chocolate on top and a bit of cream cheese and butter icing and the cake was done.
This isn't one of those gluten, fat free cakes but it is perfect for a celebration and at least with the added beetroot you get one of your five a day!
